Well, yes, there has been an erosion on the quality of the designs.
Not severe or blunt but still gradually is there.

This girl could perfectly be from HSR. They should have at least given her goat legs, furry ears and a goat tail.

Lately I feel they don't go further enough with the concepts they pick. They look too washed.

Sishou doesn't feel monk chinese martial artist enough, Fufu 3/4 of the same. Only Po kind of find the bill.
Now they made an octopus girl with lovecraftian innuendos and a goat demon worshipper.

But nothing on them give away that theme except for the tentacles on the lovecraftian girl (if wasn't for FGO foreigners she woldn't even feel lovecraftian at all) and the summoner goat girl only reads demonic through her combat animations.

They are not bad but they are not deep enough with their themes, is almost genshin/HSR generic design tier
