Here's a post from a woman who works as a nurse that I saw on a certain website:
“I’ve been working as a nurse at a hair removal clinic for 10 years. I really want everyone to understand what it actually means when we say a VIO (V = front pubic area, I = inner labia, O = around the anus) area is ‘dirty.’
The most common thing is women with white buildup stuck between the outer and inner labia. You need to gently wash between the folds when you shower.
Another thing I see a lot is women scratching their I-O area because of dampness or poor hygiene, which causes fluid to ooze out. When that dries, it gives off a terrible rotting smell. Since it’s exudate, I think it’s probably close to the smell of a corpse. Not totally sure, but it’s that bad.
Then there’s ‘lower-body armpit odor’ (basically sweat-gland odor around the groin). Way more common than people think. A lot of women don’t even realize how bad they smell. Try smelling your own underwear, or touch between the folds of your I-line and sniff your fingers - you might faint from your own stench.
And lastly, women who come in with poop stuck around the O-line? Absolutely not. Please don’t come for hair removal like that.”
