MAKA doesn't actually matter. I got an S- once that felt undeserved, because I made a retarded niggerpush that cost me the game. According to MAKA that's pretty good play, but there was one glaring mistake that make the entire match crash down. Sure, consistent S ranks are what the best players get, but many people ONLY emphasize their MAKA rating, as if somehow being the best in the table entitles them to a win. I have seen adepts angry at the game because they got B while others got Cs, as if being the best in a table means there is nothing else to learn. MAKA rating by itself doesn't matter because you have to see where you went wrong instead of obsessing over the letter and then not even looking at the log. That said, the better you are at the game the better your MAKA ratings will be, that's just a fact. That's why cheaterkeks have such good mortal ratings and climb so fast.
