Shipuuden shat the bed at the end. It peaked at Naruto vs Pain and only went downhill after that. I remember some screencap of an anon making fun of Naruto saying the powerlevels were so stupid the story was going to end with them fighting aliens on the moon and holy shit thats exactly what happened.

Classic Naruto is still one of the best Shonen imo. Pure soul, style and still fun to watch/read.
