Mamool ja, Pelupelu, Yok huy, Hanuhanu, Hroths, hyur, miquotes, and viera all live under the Tuliyollal banner but also all have very distinct cultures and beliefs.
In Eorzea you have racial harmony among mankind and growing acceptance of beastmen, but all the city states are exclusively monocultural.
This extends to what we know about every civilization in the Source (except maybe Dalmasca since Viera had their own separate culture).

I agree with you on those problems, but I need the game to have a strong narrative, characters I like and a good story.
If I'm going to spend money but more importantly, a lot of time in a game I want to be invested in that game world, in the characters in the story and lore of that game world.
Dawntrail for me broke that now there were problems in 6.x for me but Dawntrail is what ruined the game for me and I just wish I could get that back.
