Loud enough noise for long enough will always damage your hearing. It's fine if you're just getting a coffee or commuting to the next town over, but anything more than that and I'm always wearing mine. Other riders sometimes think it's dumb but usually they can't hear shit anymore.
I find it comfy, wind noise is making it harder to be relaxed and focused at the same time. I hate myself and want to die and yet I still wear earplugs because I sometimes like to listen to birds sing.
