No, I don't mean what will be the standard in the future, I mean whether some of the HDR releases can be directly made from each other non-destructively.

For example, picrel. In the Murder Mystery example, the PlayWeb release is SDR / BT 709 (so it's unique and different from the other two, no problem), but there are two different HDR releases, one is "simply" HDR and the other one is HDR DV. Their very similar size makes me suspect that maybe the HDR DV version can be turned into regular HDR by remuxing it in the right way, much like you'd normally remove audio tracks or other content?

Same with the second example in the pic, one is DV but the other one is DV *and* HDR10+, and they have a very similar size, which makes me suspect that maybe internally they have almost the same contents, but differ by one small additional "layer" of video data? And therefore, for preservation purposes, only one of them is necessary to keep long-term, because you can always reconstruct the other one from it? Just like, with regular 1080p SDR content, one can keep the bluray remux, and even if rips/encodes become dead, the remux is the ultimate source from which rips/encodes can be made anew. I'm thinking in the same paradigm; "preserving the most complete version" from which others can be made.

I don't mind storing an extra 10 GB (like for that lightweight movie in the first example), but 80+ GBs of essentially duplicate content doesn't sit very well with me, if it's indeed almost-duplicate/derivative.
