Yes, always only masked. Merely in the ă§ăăȘă stage of inpainting so no way I'm going to change everything in one fell swoop. And yes, at around the halfway point of generation there is a preview (or four, since I gen in batches of 4 when practicing inpainting; full 8 when I'm blindly slopgenning), but at that point I consider it too late to halt the process. Regardless, what you see is the result. Note that before this I used a combination of Paint.NET's color picker, shapes (oval and rectangle), and fill bucket tools to remove the bang as I didn't trust the inpainting/img2img process to fill in the white void that would've been left behind if I used the eraser. Results are better then I expected until I zoom in. Missing shadows, asymmetrical, and so on. Maybe a second pass at 0.5 or lower will fix it?
