"When I am weaker than you, I ask for freedom because that is according to your principles, when I am stronger than you I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles"

The left showed their "principles" - anything that harms their enemies is fair - the right was outraged not over the idea of free speech being violated but by the demonstration that *there wasn't a shared belief in free speech* which was thought a sacred value

Now the left is simply in the enemy camp - no one with any courage cares about their appeal to "principles" that they demonstrably don't hold
