Shipping discourse will always be funny to me because is such a silly thing to seriously care about. It's not like in a future game you will see 2 important sonic characters kissing or forming a relationship or a family together. The games are literally about funny cartoon creatures defeating the bad guy and sometimes even using the power of friendship to do so. People trying to find deeper meaning from throwaway lines and how is that evidence to something more is funny to me. I don't ship anyone in the entire franchise but I wonder if these people genuinely think sega will ever make their favorite ship canon. It's sad if that's actually the case.
