Human consciousness, if it even exists, is paralocal. We are transparent in a sense. We are born into this system. Some people call it the Noosphere. This is how telepathy and other unexplainable paranormal phenomena came to be. You just catch a glimpse of the system. We are born into this, like Truman in the movie.
Those who claim to be enlightened have often gone deep into Eastern mysticism which is essentially just monism in a philosophical sense. The Romans understood that we're living in a dualist world run by division and came up with divide and conquer. Hegel took that and refined it with Hegelian dialect(synthesis, thesis, antithesis). Then came quantum sciences. Taoism and tao could be seen as a precursor for quantum sciences as well.
