You know, the more I think about this, the more I realize that all pro sports leagues have been compromised since the social media revolution begun and this FBI thing might turn into the biggest scandal in US history real fucking quick.
Every pro athlete is friends with every other pro athlete thanks to social media. They do everything together and it's really easy to organize. It is everything you imagined being a pro athlete is like when you were 12. Play vidya, go bar hopping, fuck the same escorts, play poker games in someone's mancave, all have matching supercars, buy houses next to each other, etc.
Illegal poker games and even charity softball matches could theoretically be (not saying they definitively are) just fronts for getting the boys to meet in person and trading inside info for gambling purposes so you don't put it into text and incriminate yourself. Ever wonder why so many of these athletes start charities, and get other athletes to make guest appearances? Why they start podcasts and have guests from other teams on? what do you think they talk about when the mics aren't on?
This shit was in front of our eyes the whole fucking time. Did it ever occur to you that it was kinda weird how rivals could be best friends off the court, and what they might say to each other when drunk in someone's basement playing poker, and how that info might get disseminated throughout all of their connections?
The Simpsons even mocked it in the 90's when Kang and Kodos mutated into the US presidential candidates and held hands walking down the street. This is pro sports.
