Thoughts on the chink batteries that come bundled with gadgets? Would they be more reliable (against leaking) than retail batteries, or less?
On the one hand, >chinkshit. On the other hand, device manufacturers surely know that having batteries leak inside the box (even worse, inside the unused product) isn't a good look, hence would be more careful about including good batteries? vs retail battery manufacturers like Duracell who don't give a fuck, they know normies won't chase up, and even if they did, whatever, just send em some replacements.

yeah i think i will throw them out, including the Kodaks. i just found one of them, inside a clock i put it in only a month ago, although not leaking in the treaditional sense (alkaline crystaly stuff coming out of the bottom), it had a wetness under the wrapper along the side which was definitely not there before. holy fuck.

but just to clarify, the 'rust' at the bottom of the Panasonics - that's definitely corrosion from small amount of the acid leaking out and oxidizing, right?
