>Grabbed by the Ghoulies
Fuck yeah. Ghoulies is such a fun game. It was the game that opened my eyes to the fact that journalists and reviewers were fucking retards. Incredibly underrated game. I'll take it a step further: Nearly everything Rare put out under Microsoft was great up until they got put on Kinect duty. The only exception being Perfect Dark Zero. That was just ass.
It's funny how the general consensus is that Rare went to shit once they went to Xbox. Rare was great on the N64. Rare was great when they made DKC on the SNES. They had some okay at best games like Battletoads and Snake Rattle & Roll prior to that. But prior to the N64 Rare was a horrible company. So many fucking turds. Most people don't even realize that so many of the LJN games the AVGN reviewed were actually Rare games. Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Taboo: The Sixth Sense, Nightmare on Elm Street, Super Glove Ball. The list goes on. It's hilarious that people claim Rare fell from grace when they have always had such a rancid, atrocious track record. There's an inspirational message buried in their inadequacy, though. You can make shitpile after shitpile, but as long as you persist and make something worthwhile eventually, your legacy is saved.
Look for yourself if you don't believe me:
