Both are inexcusable. He could have taken time off, togashi does it, oda does it, kishimoto did it. Even kubo did it too.

There is actually not enough material to fill 4 cours. Even with cour 4, there isn't enough material to fill 12 episodes. He's gonna have to change the final fight.

I'm saying he probably took the criticism as people telling him they just want more of the gotei 13 and back to back fights like the arrancar arc. He certainly didn't include any slice of life scenes in the last arc when they could have been introduced as flashbacks. Even in the hell one-shot, he doesn't spend too much time on the lives of the characters, he gets to the action pretty quickly.
