He's right. It often gives you the opposite of what you want. Actively. The example given is that you want money or a woman, so you're occupy a state of want, and so it will perpetuate that state of wanting. So you would "live in the end" and assume you have it, no more wanting, barrier leaves and you can receive it.

Simple enough but sometimes assuming you have will cause it to start destroying. If you assume your car is in perfect order it will begin destroying it completely. So you think, hold the faith, maybe that is the path? Well, no. I want THIS specific car in perfect working order and I don't know why I would need it destroyed in order to make me fix it. Just tiresome.

As far as "the world is you pushed out". That's extremely true in some cases, and the exact inverse in others. It often seems like the whole world exist to be what I am NOT. Like there's some sort of inverter. So Ithings have to be taken from me so the world will become the state I was occupying. If I am giving, they become selfish and try to convince me to do the same. If I am selfish, they become giving.

Engagement is the only metric, and believeability. It just wants me in motion and sloshing around all the time.
