Believe it or not...this was observed by one perpetually turbostoned IQ 170 guy I knew from around. A few years after that LP came out. Early '80s.
He ended up going off the deep end. Hid for weeks in the huge nearby arboretum naked but for a loincloth and eating acorns and arthropods and weeds. Was certain that plastic leaked mind control substances into foods. Said meat was injected with emasculating hormones. And more.
He was certain that Supertramp was trying to tell humanity that a horrible event was about to happen.
He said a lot of things. At the time I thought he was just a poor brilliant guy eaten alive by his enormous brain, but now I wonder if he wasn't a prophet.
Or maybe somebody who was shown certain things and crumpled.
Or maybe somebody who got slipped god knows what in the hallucinogens of which he was fond.
I don't know. I just pray pretty much constantly for all good people.
