I think that is just the normal progression for gacha or shonen in general. Nikke started as sci-fi, no magic just Cyborg girls with guns and now it has this totally not supernatural stuff to farm Aura
Wuwa ditched the sci-fi and went full fantasy after 1.x patches flopped
ZZZ started great but went downhill after 1.4
