yes i think there is a real "satan" figure and i think personally it ties into the book of genesis, yes i understand all the hatred for "2000 year old desert books" and i was a lifelong agnostic myself for the supermajority of my life. ultimately however yes i believe that 1. this place was created 2. we are part of the creations 3. there are beings called "angels" that were meant to act as guides and help humanity in this creation, but they rebelled as per the book of genesis

however, "satan" is one of the most psyopped figures (next to God). i think he is the leader of these fallen angels, but is he a red horned monster that just wants to rape and murder? at the end of the day, he was one of God's top angels. the way i see it, there is kind of a game being played between God and satan. this is a playground for our eternal spirits to enjoy a temporary human body. just think about it - if we exist in a heavenly place with no evil, there is no drama and no fun. for some people (like us), i can see why it would be tempting to incarnate here in a no-risk playground. but if we're eternally good spirits, how could you get us to commit sin and evil?

well, you would first need to put our souls inside a human body that has a bunch of needs/wants, and definitely it can't retain its memories. which is what we find ourselves in: a blank slate that experiences the 5 senses and is easily tempted by sex, drugs, alcohol, you name it. the way i see it, satan is basically the "curator" or "tempter" that encourages humanity to stray towards these things, ie. "the temptations of the flesh". he is a higher being who is like a human but simply more knowledgeable. he knows we are kinky little bastards and he knows we love to experiment with drugs and etc, because he also controls media and hollywood and knows how to plant the right seeds to make us curious about these things
