Mostly because they're spoiled brats that didn't liked that the game changed, so instead of moving on with it or leaving they spent most of the time complaining on leddit.
My overall opinion is that a lot of stuff on early snobble is just world building for now. Some say "they forgot this or that" but you never know when they can bring back some of it in the current form.
