This country is a bureaucratic hell-hole. The Byzantine bureaucratic system throttles everything. Want to extend your house? The answer is always no. Businesses are regulated to death. Your plumber cannot legally wire your water heater up to the electricity. You must be 12 and over to buy sparklers ... but there is no ID a 12 year old can offer to prove their age. Under 25 and have no driving licence or passport? Forget about buying cutlery or alcohol until you turn grey. It takes vast reams of paperwork just to do simple things. All electric scooters and skateboards get seized if used on the road without insurance ... but electric bicycles and wheelchairs are not because of "reasons". Streetlights are ordered off at night and headlights are ordered on during the day.
