That diagram is false. Connally's seat in the car was lower and offset from Kennedy. He was also sitting angled to the right compared to Kennedy. Also note that the diagram places Kennedy's entrance wound with the shirt, and not the actual wound on the body. Kennedy's short was bunched up from waving and resting his arm on the sill.
