They are 'hard workers' in that they don't stop to think or question if a thing could and should be done. A non-Indian would have figured out how much that machinery weights, find a boat that can actually support it, not sway back and forth, rent it or trade a flavour for the transport, or it just won't be done because it can't be done without losing that equipment to the waters! Indians can act like such go-getters, "I'll do it boss I'll do it!" ...but then they screw it up.
