I agree it's lame if nobody fights, but I think we all know that the current friendly meta is temporary. KOS is a literal slippery slope, once a large enough group starts to pvp exclusively the rest will follow within hours.
I just really really hope embark leans in to the friendly player vs KOS dynamic. I've seen people suggest a bounty/bounty hunting system for example. Another suggestion was a "handshake" that lets you team up with randoms.
Worst case scenario is that the game either swings too far in the carebear direction and nobody fights, or everybody starts DMing like it's COD. Anything to prevent those outcomes

I kinda think they just need to nerf them overall. None of the arc are remotely threatening when you can just chuck two homing nades and instantly kill them
