The way I see they seal the deal is either they reveal an avatar and it knocks it out of the park(female avatar probably gonna have to do the heavy lifting again), or they shift advertising to the other three "lords" since they're all infinitely more interesting

Edelgard got pride of place in the first 3H trailer, set up the conflict with a few lines, and it paid dividends with how dominant her and the other Black Eagles were in the online rankings when the game actually came out. Generic energetic shonen lead with mysterious power protecting generic lead heroine is not gonna cut it. Nintendo is gonna trigger people's Fates/Engage PTSD if they keep trying to make people care about that.
Fortune's Weave will probably easily outdo Engage, probably comfortably get past the 2 million mark in a year, but if they want to climb 3H's mountain of 4 million they're gonna have to try harder than just throwing Sothis in at the end.
