2013 was definitely a very "transitional period" you could argue that the first half like january-july is still "old roblox" since Erik was still alive, Bevels were still around and had the old animation but the later half is drastically different, the bevels got removed, price floors were added, bigger youtubers started to take notice of it such as tobuscus, the animations were changed to be more realistic etc. It was a very weird client in retrospect and a lot of people have mixed feelings during that era, but it still had some its old identity left until much later.

I have a lot of memories from 2013, when I was a kid. They changed a lot stuff, added new features, and the general art style direction of it (for example removing old materials and shitty outlines, erik death etc). Most oldfags don't consider it as oldblox so, you're not the only one, I'd say it's similar to 2015 ROBLOX.
