It's absolutely proper English, but perhaps positioning the adjective is more common in Britain and you Americans wouldn't get it. Native speakers also regularly confuse "their", "they're" and "there", which L2 speakers virtually never do.

We don't use words such as already at the end of our sentences in German. It's the king's English which I learned at school and via media.
