So let me see if I've got this straight: you're 70 years old. You met a girl more than 50 years ago - so that's 1975

It was possible in 1975 to find a marriage-worthy woman. Your wife, if she wasn't a virgin, had maybe one previous sexual partner. Let me explain to you how it works in 2025:
(1) any woman over 18 who isn't a virgin for religious reasons has AT LEAST 15 bodies on her roster
(2) no woman over 18 is single. If they don't have a boyfriend, they have a "situationship" or a "fuck buddy" - they all have at least one man who they regularly "hook up" with
(3) all women go through a "party phase" where they hit clubs and fuck a different guy every week. Some of them tire of that quickly. Others continue that way for years and sleep with hundreds of men.
(4) almost all women are hot in their 20s, and this enables them to sleep with very, very high value men. Most women have been with athletes, actors, millionaires. Most women have been on yachts. Many have been on private jets.

Point (4) means their standards are ridiculous. They will always compare you to an amalgam of other men they've been with. You wont be as rich as Joe. You wont be as famous as Steve. You'll never be good enough.

Point (3) means they are emotionally broken. They will never bond with you the way your 1975 wife bonded.

Point (2) means they'll never really give you a chance. If you date them, you'll pay for dinner, then she'll uber to her FWBs house and have sex. You'll feel like a real chump.

Point (1) means they're all "alpha widows" - they all secretly pine for some chad who fucked them early on in their sexual experience. This is a slightly different problem than inability to bond. This is an inability to be happy.
