Moldova's Cabinet of Ministers has approved the closure of the Russian Center for Culture and Science in Chișinău, it said in a statement.

These centers are used by Russia to promote its propaganda narratives.

Moldova is doing very well in moving away from Russia's sphere of influence.

In response, Peskov accused Moldova of "antagonizing" Russia - a clear sign that Moldova made the right choice.

On November 5, it approved a bill to cancel a 1998 agreement with Russia on the operation of cultural centers. Now, the bill is to be submitted to Moldova's parliament for consideration.

Moldovan Minister of Culture Cristian Jardan noted that Moscow could use the agreement "to promote distorted narratives," posing a threat to the country's information security. According to him, the Russian center was a platform under the cover of which activities are carried out to "undermine the sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova."

The Kremlin reacted to this, with Peskov accusing Chișinău of antagonizing Russia and "denying everything related to our country, to the detriment of a significant, if not the majority, of the country's population."
