To model something, you first need a 2D design. And to have a 2D design, you need to know how to draw.
After that, you’ll have to learn how to use Blender.
Finishing a 3D model without textures already requires experience in topology, UV unwrapping, rigging, and weight painting. If you mess up the topology, every step after that becomes harder, if not impossible, to get right (and good luck nailing it on your first try).
Only then do you finally get to work on textures. But if you somehow managed to get a 2D reference without knowing how to draw, guess what? Texture painting also requires drawing skills, arguably even more so if you’re working in low poly.
And after busting your ass learning all that, you’ll finally get to animate your bones!!! (you’ll also need to learn about control rigs, which are more complex to make than normal rigs, because nobody really uses normal rigs to animate anymore, unless they’re a jeet stuck in the 90s.)
this is the reason 80% games made by solo indie devs are pixelslop
