alright cool. deltarune yellow anon2 from the yellow threads. (QRD, DRYanon1 made the first iteration, dropped it for a while, i picked up some sprites, he came back and put out a chapter and a half, and now we are both working on our own takes)
i've been generally improving it from top to bottom.
starting with the big one
>the justice system
tl;dr: goal here is to add another layer to ACTing, and also make it so that there are actual ACT puzzles again like undertale had.
given the yellow soul = justice thing, i wanted to tie it into the battle system.
so almost every darkner will be guilty of something, ranging from crimes so simple that its not even worth a slap on the wrist to something severe enough that it may justify execution (single digit amount of darkners in this category!)
there's regular ACT sparing (no crime/insignificant), warning (petty/minor crime), apprehending (severe crime), and execution (unforgiveable crime)
the human (cole (clover + kris name treatment = cole)) has a secondary act menu just for justice acts related to the system.
most encounters will revolve around calming a darkner down with regular acts, and then ending the battle with justice acts if they're guilty of a crime, some apprehension battles will require justice acts while you're calming a darkner down.
>split spell menus
since the human has two act menus, monsters have two spell menus to maintain symmetry.
one's for offensive spells, one's for support spells, meaning up to 12 spells per character.
already have full lists planned out for every character.
