It's a dead medium, the last time people used to read them seriously in the US was the 90s. Particularly Vertigo comics, picrel used to make things that weren't capeshit like horror anthologies, but they were heavily unionized and expensive to make. They'd never do something like release uncolored comics, they had ludicrously high standards and put more time into polish than anything else. After Disney took over Marvel I think they've been making deliberately bad books to create an excuse to delete the paperback industry. 99% sure the 'woke' marvel comics are bait their sales are horrendous and they only exist as talking points for right wing grifters like The Quartering.
