The tone shift was too much and TPP was right to correct it. GZ also lacks a twist, the surreal/supernatural elements, bossfights, Kiefer phones it in etc. it has a lot of jarring flaws and doesn't feel like Metal Gear at all. It feels like COD/Splinter Cell.

Funnily that's the criticism TPP receives when it actually felt like Metal Gear again after the bizarre shift of GZ. It was less grounded, more weird, more theatrical and people hated it for that.
