I grew up in a very religious community where wait until marriage is expected. Most would traditionally marry early and have a bunch of kids (my mom had 7), but the culture is changing. I was brought up thinking that if I don’t have sex before marriage, I will get that in a spouse, and I am starting to realize that isn’t necessarily the case which is scary to me. I feel like committing your life to one woman who was defiled by other men before marriage is a garbage deal. I would much rather have multiple intimate gfs throughout my life than to commit to one who had sex with other guys. I am still religious and believe this is absolutely immoral — you should only have sex within a marriage. So I’m at a crossroads here: what if I don’t find a reasonably attractive virgin? Do I just never marry? My desire to marry is mostly for kids, if im being honest. It’s supposedly the best environment for kids or was in the past at least.
