Is the loot in those actually different?

I beat act 3. Great game except unlocking act 3 was frustrating. I used the beast crest for 99% of the game after I got it. It's a good crest except for like two bosses in the game it's complete dogshit for.

Think I'm gonna go through it again and use different stuff. The coral drill projectile things are fucking incredible, honestly.
