This is also really important to just maintaining your enjoyment of things. You as a human being are always somewhat susceptible to what you hear no matter how much of a freethinker you consider yourself. If you listened to retards shit-talking water all day, day after day, eventually it'd start leaving a bad taste in your mouth. That's a big part of how they do psy-ops and propaganda in real life by simply repeating disinformation or opinions they favor so much that it becomes harder and harder to question it or disagree. To actually be a freethinker you can't let your perspective be too polluted with other people's opinions especially when they're as biased, insincere, and inflammatory as they typically are on here nowadays.

I don't get the seething over FOTM games. Sure, you shouldn't buy it just because it's currently popular but people act like every game has to be a timeless classic that'll be lauded and discussed for years or give you hundreds of hours of playtime or else it's dogshit. I've already fucking played all the classics that interest me. If you actually like video games then you've probably played plenty of games that were fun for a playthrough and decent enough even if they wouldn't be on the top of your recommendations list or something you'll ever play again. Those timeless classics were also discovered because people actually gave new games a chance in the first place.
