This was kino and all but I feel like they're finally getting to the point where there's just so many retarded passive effects and (more importantly) guardrails put in place around them in these big fights that half of them don't really work the way they're supposed to and on some level the game is trying to mask that.
It was pretty hysterical though dealing enough damage to stagger him and he just kind of keeps attacking until he's staggered anyway the next turn (and then the cutscene interrupts your damage dealing during the stagger round and ends the turn midway). Introducing coin tosses where it only kind of matters who wins the clash for both the player and the NPCs was retarded in of itself but whoever thought it was a good idea to give you a coin toss 90% of the way through this already needlessly long fight that you are fucked if you don't react a specific way should get fucked.
