The original meaning of "nephilim" comes from their word for "fallen men of great renown" and their Torah explicitly states that there were no nephilim among the people of Jacob.
Their Deuteronomy also states, in the original translation:

Where else do we see this language "sons of God"
well in Genesis

We are the Nephiliim in their folk lore, their ancient sources prove this.
The "highest God" Elyon gave the Nations of the earth to his children, of which Yahweh was one, and Jacob was his people, and the "Nephilim" are the sons of Gods, who were given to human women, of whom the people of Jacob had none.
When they arrive in the "promised land" they find it full of these ancient men of great renown.
And who would be in the "promised land" at that time?
Well it just so happens to coincide with where the proto-indo-europeans would have been at the time
