>Gatekeeping ryus arsenal behind dlc is incredibly scummy
I feel the same way. I heard people say that they're doing this to recoup any sales losses that might happen because of NG4 being on Game Pass. I wonder if the second master will be Yakumo.
>Ryu: "lol, ive already 2-0'd the dark dragon. he's sub-sub-Genshin level, and youre just sub-Genshin level. youll be fine."
And then he leaves. Could be that Yakumo becomes a master after stopping the Dark Dragon. But I'm not sure if Yakumo will be the second master of the DLC. Platinum loves introducing new gameplay styles in their DLC as seen in MGR. Of course, Ryu with his new weapons will be the first of two masters. But Yakumo's gameplay is so fleshed out that I can't picture the DLC expanding his playstyle further. Realistically, I think the second master will be Hayate so that they can get their obligatory DOA cameo, introduce new gameplay systems and have the girls appear. Could also be that Two Masters will take place during the latter half of NG4 so that we know what Ryu's up to while Yakumo's dealing with the Dark Dragon. I personally hope it's Jo Hayabusa for a pseudo NGX remake. Since Ragebound takes place during events that are very similar to NES NG1, it shows that a version of the NES trilogy will happen during the modern NG timeline. Obviously not 1:1 because of DOAD and NG3. And what better way to finish the Dark Dragon saga by moving on to the original NES trilogy?

But if Team Ninja were truly aiming for kino, the second master should be the orange ninja from NG arcade.
