Let’s base our calculations on the last pre-full-scale war year.

According to an official press release from Nord Stream AG, the volume of natural gas transported through the Nord Stream pipeline in 2021 was 59.2 billion cubic meters.

The average price of Russian pipeline-exported gas in 2021 reached $274 per 1,000 cubic meters, according to calculations published by the Vedomosti publication, based on data from the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

! Thus, in 2021, Nord Stream might have generated $16.22 billion (precisely $16,220,800,000).

In total, Russia exported 203.5 billion cubic meters of gas in 2021, earning about $55 billion.
