When normies talk about "Western civilization" are they referring to the pre-Enlightenment West or the post-Enlightenment West? They're two completely different things. Monarchy vs republic. Theocracy vs secularism. Draconianism vs liberalism. Hierarchy vs equality. Serfdom vs freedom. Collectivism vs. individualism. That's why defining "the West" is problematic. The West that a monarchist seeks to conserve is completely different than the West that a classical liberal seeks to conserve. Also the "West" has never been this monolith that so many normies claim it was. What was the Hundred Years' War about? Thirty Years' War? Napoleonic Wars?
