Unless they specifically planned things out really far ahead of time in a way they can't pivot from I think this is the most likely.
I've always been surprised they don't FF7 pander harder but figured it was their "emergency, we're losing them" push, and if they're ever going to do that now is probably the time for it.
Are there any FF7 inspired jobs they could put in to really get people resubbing?
