I have been seeing a lot of Ukrainians and Russians in my city in recent years because of the war. One of the ways I know that they are Ukrainian is that they look white, but they don't act like American white people. Most American white people know to stay away from public transit because it is not safe. I have seen Ukrainian/Russian young women waiting to take public transit, and I've felt like warning them, but I don't speak the language.
