It's not that interesting. I know people like holding on against waves of AI soldiers in RTS games but that's only fun in short doses or if the game has a lot of defensive options imo.
I might buy the DLC on sale later on for the civs if they aren't nerfed to the ground in the meantime but I still have some vanilla ones that I've barely played so I'm not a in a hurry.

Looks like most negative reviews are from people who bought the DLC thinking that it had campaigns.
Do people not even check what they're buying anymore?
