>is Zapo front a priority for the Russians or is it some other direction?
Zaporozhye is definitely not a priority. It's too big, the citiy's population was almost 1M, I don't know about its current situation, but it's still hundreds of thousands, much more than Mariupol. This city has to be encircled properly.
The grouping "East" is advancing to Zaporozhye, well, from east. They are guys who liberated Ugledar, Novoselka and are finishing liberation of South-West Donbass right now. They also gradually move to Gulyaypole and Orekhov from east and took several villages in Dnepropetrovsk region, in its "heel" inside Zaporozhye region near Donbass. There are announcements of new gains every few days.
A lot of things will become clearer after Pokrovsk falls. Then the largest and the most powerful grouping, "Center," will advance either to North encircling Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, or to west to Dnepr, towards Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk north of "East." Or divide forces in both directions. We'll see. I bet the Russian command will choose the first option, because there is a political decision to liberate Donbass at first in Kremlin. It was made for various reasons from water supply of Donetsk, Gorlovka and other large cities to international politics and possible pause.
Long story short, it's necessary to do a lot of preparations and build certain foundations before any active attacks in this direction. It will take months.
