The stand is fine. I have a Honda with the same kickstand and weight.
The weight is another reason people don't recommend 1000s to newbies.
See, with experience on smaller bikes that inspire confidence you wouldn't have these kinds of questions. Too many people think just hp and speed are the reasons to start smaller.

Anyway. Confidence. You need to practice more. Feet stay on the pegs unless you're actually gonna fall over. Dangle leg twinkle toes are for boomers on cruisers and the bike is too heavy to catch when rolling.
When going slow speed, just use the rear brake to moderate speed. Rear brake while driving forwards gives a feeling of confidence. Don't try to moderate the throttle or clutch because that gives you 3 variables to control the bike's speed and that's too much. Just halfway clutch and a little throttle and keep em there control your speed with just rear brake.

Do that and practice. When you're confident, try 'pushing' the bike down. Lean the bike over while you're staying upright. Google 'Motogymkhana' and see what's possible. It's getting cold and wet now so don't push your luck
