Same. Everyone agrees Silly Samuel was mid, I was kind of underwhelmed by Mole Man--especially that predictable resolution--and Mother Nature was laying it on a little thick with trying to build on the established characterizations, though I did enjoy that one the most out of the three "normal episodes" so far. Monsieur Grenouille and Halloween Witch have been the highlights so far for me, but that's mainly thanks to each one being more experimental and a departure from a "typical episode structure."
Overall I'm still having more fun with Smiling Friends S3 than I did with Rick and Morty S8 and can admit to finding some moments funny even in the weaker episodes, but the fandom enthusiasm is probably just super contagious and making many of us view this season more favorably and with less of a cynical lens.
