Pretty based anon, although system doesn't seem very balanced...
Actually it's the Allies who seem to be pretty pretty well-armored in this situation from what I've read. Japanese tanks were not uncommon, and Allied tanks pretty thin on the ground.
Japanese use of Mortars is pretty common, especially the 50mm Grenade Dischargers (not actually Knee Mortars, but that seems to be the common name in the west).
In 1943 the Allies were mostly on a massive retreat: fighting withdrawing actions, and attempting to marshal the tens of thousands of refugees and somehow make it over crazy mountain / jungle tracks into India... it wasn't pretty! I think a large part of the issue was the British didn't really think Burma was that important and didn't bother to station much in the way of forces. Then once the attacks came, things just broke down and no one could really communicate or coordinate properly except the Japanese.
Armies look great though, and cool to see people gaming Burma.
