If Jones isn’t just coping and my take on the nature of the files is right the list was NEVER seeing the light of day in our life times at the absolute earliest due to how much damage it would do to the global system.

Think less the one ring never being useable for good, but no one will destroy it willingly and more the ending of watchmen in which everyone realizes the lie is bad, but the damage from the truth is worse.
Trump might be able to get some political capital out of it, but I doubt that’s the usage of it.

You either never compromise in the face of Armageddon or you eat your morality and pretend the atrocities never happened so it doesn’t backlash even worse.
Which is a huge black pill, but I think that is where this is at right now
