Ah okay. Those might not be canon in the sense that they happened in the timeline/reality, but they are canon in the sense that they "happened" within the confines of the game's systems or lore, maybe not the right words but I hope you understand my meaning.
It's hard for me to suspend my disbelief at the idea that the infinity computer came up with the world of Cyberpunk 2077, a separate real life IP, and that we get to play as characters from it. The dream explanation is more bearable imo.
I actually think this is kino >>542149276
I get the feeling it's going to be handled super poorly is all, seeing as most games handle collabs poorly. I'd prefer a vague dreamy or magical reasoning rather than relying on trying to explain it away within the confines of the game and making it feel "too real" as that is what kills the immersion for me. I don't want this collab to be real because of the implications, so it should be handled as a fantastical made up fantasy land akin to the cubeshit.
>but the cubes are canon
It's very easy to ignore that because it's completely detached from reality and is never mentioned or brought up by anyone but Rover, Abby, and Encore who wasn't relevant for almost a year when it came out.
